Will’s biography: Early in my career I made a choice to shift from a creative direction, being the artist, to working in the corporate world of dimensional marketing. What I latter realized, through a series of circumstances, was that I had also stopped my creative energy flow, I had balled it up and I was holding it, like a rock, in my heart. I immersed myself for many years in my work and climbing the corporate ladder. I did not think about that creative energy or those times past, until a simple gift from a friend, allowed me to rekindle that flame. A seemingly simple gift, I was given a blank canvas and an opportunity to paint, to freely express myself for as long as I wished. This friend knew that I had not taken the time for many years to enjoy this one time love. I still do not believe that they understood what had been given. What unfolded next is hard for me to describe, but what is even more important is what happened. I basically cracked open the ball, the cosmic egg, the creative energy, that I had held in my chest for so many years.
For nearly a year my world was turned upside down. I literally thought that I was going insane. The “Real World” no longer made any sense. After working with several alternative healers and one very creative psychologist, who eventually understood what had taken place, I was finally able to maintain a normal relationship with the 3d world. I ended up living at the New Jersey shore, where I had been guided to move so that I could “heal”. This also allowed me the opportunity to be closer to nature. The ocean waves seemed to be talking to me and awakening something from within. This newly acquired sensitivity was also allowing me to see things with a whole new perspective.
The energy of the city where I was living had become overwhelming, so I would escape often to New England and it’s nature. Once here I could better reflect on what had taken place and commune with this new reality. I ended up moving to New England, which gave me an even greater oneness with this natural phenomenon. All the answers to most of my questions were being revealed from this communion and all of its aspects.
This path also included meeting Joya, who became my wife. She introduced me to dowsing. Dowsing has allowed me to understand even more of what was behind that veil. It allowed me to unlock many of the secrets of the earth’s subtle energies, which had now been revealed to me. It gave me a means, a tool for communicating with this new world, with eyes wide open.
Shortly after our move to New Hampshire we were asked to be artist-in-residence at The Fells, the summer home of John Hays, (Secretary of State to Abraham Lincoln). While there I became intrigued with the random way that the birch branches had fallen on the forest floor around the base of the trees. Like a white line drawing there seemed to be a creative intelligence at work. I spent most of the weekend photographing these random patterns. Later in my studio, I created a series of carpet patterns by mirroring the white drawings back upon themselves. What I began to notice was previously unseen images were emerging from this process.
Upon further exploration, I discovered that this mirroring process would reveal hidden imagery unique to the parent image and pattern. I also discovered that dowsing would allow me to communicate with these hidden forms. I dowse which area within an image to mirror, I dowse how many segments will best reveal this unseen form and I dowse the strength and modality of the energy attached to the form and its unique frequency or vibration.
